Thinking about ordering candy in the summer?
Chocolates, gummies, and other meltable candy may be just what you need to satisfy your craving for sweets, but these type of treats don't travel well in warm (aka hot) weather. And if we're being honest, we'd rather you not order anything that could melt in the summer heat.
****If ordering multiple ice packs we may upgrade size of the ice pack rather than sending several smaller ice packs****
While any type of candy is subject to melting any time of the year, summer is especially harsh. Shipping companies like UPS, FedEx and the United States Postal Service do not air condition their trucks, and often times the cargo area temperature can be 40 degrees HIGHER than the temperature outside.
Because of this, the shippers do not allow us to file damage claims on melted product, so shipping these types of items is at your own risk.
However, if you want to risk it (and keep in mind we won't refund for melted candy!), we do offer ice packs that we can pack in with your order. These may prevent your candy from melting - but again, even with ice packs if it does melt we cannot issue a refund!
When choosing ice packs, we recommend 1 pack per small item ordered, or 2 packs per larger items. Ice Packs only last 24 hours in summer heat.
Also, during June, July, and August, we do not ship chocolates out on Thursdays or Fridays unless you contact us and request us to do so.
We suggest having your candy delivered in warm weather to an address where someone is there to accept your package on delivery.

Shipping Information
Shipping policy
All orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped. All orders will ship by either USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground depending on location and delivery requirements.
International Shipping
We do not offer international shipping
How do I check the status of my order?
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.
If you haven’t received your order within 2 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at support@thesnackhut.net with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
Shipping to P.O. boxes
All orders shipped to PO Boxes will be shipped via USPS.
Returns & Refunds
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at support@thesnackhut.net. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
